Most Hated Man in Gaming

2026

  | Feature Documentary

DESCRIPTION

This is the story of how Rajbir Singh—an ostracized immigrant kid from Northern California—becomes Ronnie 2K, the most hated man in gaming. Executive Produced by Kevin Garnett, this film traces his origin story as the child of Sikh immigrants in 1990s Marin County. To overcome bullying, Ronnie leans into his love of basketball and video games, which eventually converge in the form of NBA 2K, the blockbuster franchise that creates a new bridge between pro athletes and their fans. As social media escalates, Ronnie becomes a leading influencer in a new generation of live streamers. Channels that started out as a way for gamers to build community become massive outlets for entertainment, income, and controversy. Our film picks up the story in 2024, when the explosion of live-streaming video games enflames an already toxic Internet culture led by the likes of Adin Ross and N3ON. Online bullying and fierce competition threaten Ronnie’s personal life, and for the first time force him to reexamine his identity as the king of gaming.
